Gnome Camera Controller
Moveable cameras represent a huge advance in video surveillance. Now one camera can cover an area that previously required several. But what do you do if you cannot afford a security guard to manually control the camera?
Gnome is the automatic camera controller.

Now one camera can run 24 hours per day, with Gnome moving it in response to actual activity. Be it a door opening, a sales transaction occurring, a vending machine being operated or any other kind of event — Gnome can point and zoom a camera in to obtain the optimum footage.
Gnome means:
- Fewer cameras;
- Lower capital cost;
- Less redundant footage;
- Lower maintenance cost;
- High-quality, zoomed-in images of what really matters.
Gnome works by listening on a site network for events of interest.
These could be anything — from the breaking of an infrared beam to the opening of a cash drawer — and Gnome immediately responds by moving a camera to pan, tilt and zoom in on a preset location corresponding to the event.
All aspects of Gnome are configurable through a PC software application supplied with every Gnome unit.
Gnome has been proven particularly useful in the retail oil industry, and is compatible with a wide variety of fuel pump protocols and POS systems. See our Gnome FAQ for more information on the Gnome-compatible brands of cameras, DVRs and site equipment.
